During the Dutch Trade Mission to Brazil (19 to 23 November 2012), the German-Dutch Wind Tunnels DNW and EMBRAER signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
With the signing of this MoU both companies underline their intention to prolong the long-term working relationship which they already have for more than a decade. Verification of aircraft designs by means of wind tunnel testing at DNW facilities has been done on a wide variety of EMBRAER’s aircraft types.
By mutually sharing information, DNW will be able to further develop their measuring techniques so that EMBRAER can keep relying on continuation of state-of-the-art facilities at DNW.
The MoU was signed by DNW’s director Prof. Dr.-Ing. Georg Eitelberg and EMBRAER’s CEO mr. Artur Coutinho. Mrs. Lillian Ploumen, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Cooperation Development, witnessed the document, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
This agreement between DNW and EMBRAER is a good illustration of the excellent trading relation between the Netherlands and Brazil, which is beneficiary for the aerospace industry in both countries.
