On 12 October 2017, at the 40th Panel Business Meeting of the Applied Vehicle Technology Panel of the NATO in Utrecht, the AVT Panel Young Contributor Award was bestowed on Kerstin Huber, Project Manager at DNW.
The Awards Committee has decided to bestow her the award because she joined the ATV community in the very beginning of her career and because she was quick to engage in established ATV activities as well as forming new ones. One of these activities finally culminated in Collaborative Demonstration of Technology on Innovative Control Effectors for Maneuvering of Air Vehicle. Kerstin Huber actively contributed to four AVT activities during her young career. As author and co-author of several publications in journals like the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Journal of Aircraft, she successfully represented her contribution to AVT activities which support the NATO mission. With no doubt, declared the AVT Awards Committee, Kerstin Huber is an exceptional example of a Young Contributor who has made a notable impact to an already significant body of scientific work.
This Young Contributor Award is presented to honor her service to the AVT Panel. The Awards Committee hopes that she will continue to participate and take the initiative of leading other AVT activities in the future.
