Whilst we endeavour to keep the information up-to-date and accurate, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the website for any purpose. Any reliance you place on such information is therefore strictly at your own risk.
In no event will we be liable for any loss or damage including without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of, or in connection with, the use of this website.
Through this website, you are able to link to other websites, which are not under the control of DNW. We have no control over the nature, content and availability of those sites. The inclusion of any links does not necessarily imply a recommendation or endorsement of the views expressed within them.
Every effort is made to keep this website up and running smoothly. However, DNW takes no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, the website being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
These Terms of Use shall be exclusively governed by Dutch law. All disputes arising in connection with these Terms of Use, including disputes concerning the existence and validity thereof, shall be resolved by the competent courts of Amsterdam.
Personal Data Protection
DNW is committed to user privacy and has policies in place based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, in force from 25 May 2018.
You can browse through the DNW website without disclosing personal information, except in cases where personal data is explicitly required in order for specific purposes (such as newsletters, web forms or event registration).
In these cases:
- A controller determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data and ensures the conformity with data protection rules;
- At DNW, the compliance with the regulation is monitored and controllers and data subjects are advised on their respective responsibilities and rights.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.
Handling of data collected from e-subscriptions via the website
DNW registers and manages data collected from web-site in house, using the standard DNW IT infrastructure.
Logged information and use of cookies on the DNW website
Visits to the DNW website are logged. The information logs are used solely with the aim to better understand how people use the site. Analysis is performed with various tools, including Google analytics and SNOOBI Analytics. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your personal computer or on your mobile device when you visit a website. There are different types of cookies which are used for different purposes, including making the website work more efficiently (i.e. by remembering settings or information you have given) and helping DNW in understanding how the website is used.
On the DNW website only Session ID cookies are used to uniquely identify a user associated to the session. The cookie-related information is not used to identify you personally.
Some videos available on the DNW website are embedded from DNW’s official YouTube channel. YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode is enabled: this means that YouTube will not set cookies for a user who views a web page that contains a privacy-enhanced YouTube embed video player, but does not click on the video to begin playback. Moreover, the application of the privacy-enhanced mode implies that YouTube will not store personally identifiable cookie information for playbacks of embedded videos.
Control of cookies
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
